Our Mission:

to empower and educate young creatives

Too often students leave school and university with a set of soft skills that are not applicable in today’s working world. Kozi offers young adults an introduction to web development and design in a fun and friendly environment. Learn and develop skills in JavaScript, HTML & CSS, and UX Design principles and techniques. Our students have the opportunity to put these new skills into practice in a working environment through our internship partnerships. To enrol on a course please contact us.

Internships

We partner with various tech focussed companies to offer our graduates the opportunity to put their new skills into practice and get real life experience in the tech industry. Graduates also benefit from ongoing mentoring and support from the staff at Kozi.

About Kozi

Our specially designed course allows each student to gain a fundamental understanding of the technologies being used in industry today, learning alongside friends whilst enjoying plenty of other activities outside of lessons. We run courses for all skillsets and various ages at Kozi - enthusiasm is the main thing! No prior knowledge is required, this is a beginners course. Those with an understanding of a coding language will be able to consolidate their knowledge, work together with like minded students on fun initiatives and meet new people, as well as access the network of professionals that the course provides.

This course is not just for people who would like to learn to code for their careers, but for anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of the subject, in any capacity. This course can help students to hold their own in conversations and in the workplace with regards to the technical side of a business.

Those wishing to pursue UX and coding will find the course especially beneficial; at Kozi there are no stupid questions, and students are encouraged to support one another and work together to achieve the week’s tasks.

Expert coaching from young professionals, family run accommodation, and dinner parties each evening make for a fun and productive week of learning and collaborative research.

Kozi Guest Dinners

Each night there will be a dinner party for all the students to reflect on what they’ve learnt and get to know one another better. Throughout the week there will be guests at the dinners, who work in some capacity in a technical role or industry. They can give a fresh perspective on what it is like to be involved in technology, covering fashion, travel, sports technology and banking. Guests join the Kozi students over a relaxed dinner and offer advice and give inspiration about what potential roles they might consider when they start applying for jobs.

Internships

Kozi aims to help students not just whilst they’re onsite, but going forward with their respective careers. There are a variety of companies that are keen to offer internships to our graduates, given the skills they will have learnt. Kozi graduates will be in a fantastic position to reach out to our growing network of engineers, designers, entrepreneurs and business men/women who are enthusiastic about helping young adults find their feet in the world of technology. With guaranteed ongoing support, the students will have a safety net and mentors they can rely on to help achieve their career goals after school or university - and practical skills from the course itself to compliment this.
